Verizon Smart Family - Parent App Reviews

This is not a user friendly app. I cant tell you how many times I had to enter my username and password to make changes. Absolutely ridiculous. Also should be able to use the fingerprint to get in instead of tapping password. Not easy to see how to make changes either.

This is a great app. Wonderful for keeping up with my daughters usage.

Easy to use

Dont waste your time it is not user-friendly. I am very tech savvy and when I attempted to use this app it was very frustrating. They make it way too difficult to do a simple task. I deleted the app immediately after a few attempts. They need to upgrade this app and make it less complicated. Instead of using it I just log on to My Verizon to manage my family base because its way simpler.

Since you have completely ruined the My Verizon app, and Im now forced to use the worthless app at least update to be more user friendly. Add fingerprint login so I dont have to type in my complete login.(It doesnt even have a remember me function). Most of all make it where you can quickly switch between lines on the account. Example: when Im adding data allowance for each line, have it where I can switch right to the next line after finishing with one. Not have to back all the way out or start over and have to click half a dozen tabs to get back to data allowance. This is the entire purpose of the app after all, to control line usage. I know all this is pointless as it will probably not be read by anyone at Verizon.

This app does nothing well! The problem starts on sign-in and sets the tone for the entire app across all of its pages. It gives you useless (although in a pretty red) graphs and tells usages numbers ??? (Does anybody care for usages on plans with "unlimited" functions?? The app is not intuitive and doesnt bridge with "My Verizon" app. Talk about password protected, Im the only one who cannot get in, no one else would waste their time trying........ Verizon, youre losing touch....

Ive put every possible limitation on my kids phones until they earn it. Verizon has helped the most. I like the reports that I got instantly. It always made my kids feel like I knew everything if I could say. Why are you texting and tell them the name or number. The apps for Verizon are just not as intuitive as Id like. I find myself trying to find a limitation and not knowing where in the app I found it to turn it on, and having to type in passwords repeatedly as it directs me to one of its other apps. Very time consuming. Wish their was one control panel for any limitation/restriction that a parent could control.

Great app to keep up with family useage.

Had this app for over 6 months. It was working fine. Upgraded the child phone and it only worked for one day. This needs to be fixed. It should work since I pay for it every month.

App is crashing every time I log into use it.

I really like the idea of being able to use this app but it crashes constantly. I never get to use it no more than a few seconds and it crashes. You would think with a corporation like Verizon they could afford to get this app working like it is suppose to. Terrible app for now though!!!

This app keeps crashing

This feels like a web page. When I try logging in to set controls the app crashes. Its not intuitive to find settings and features.

This has always been one of the most unintuitive apps Ive ever encountered. Now it crashes before you can even begin to figure out its unintuitive user interface. It just keeps getting worse, not better.

Ive never understood why this app makes you sign in twice. I hoped this would be fixed with the update but now its worse! Now after signing in twice the app boots me out completely! Ridiculous! All the technology out there and this is the best you can do?!!

This App is horrible.. I have been trying to sign in for months.. Crash city! Will not log in...

I downloaded the app primarily to set usage limits on my boys iPads. Theres a lot of other features that frankly we dont need yet - and so this review is for the data usage limits feature only. I consider myself fairly adept in navigating programs. But this app was so difficult to use it took me 15 to 20 minutes to find where to go to put data usage limits on the iPads. Plain and simple, this is a very poorly designed app, at least from the consumer standpoint. As one reviewer put it, it might just be trying to bring us to more add-on services. I had no problem finding those! The desktop program might be easier to use, but this app is just a pain.

I have the most recent release and it continually crashes after only a few seconds. I have tried reinstalling it. This does not help. Any advice appreciated. Thank you

This program allows me to see if/when my daughter uses her phone. It is a tool to check and see if family rules are being followed. This program cuts out the arguments about the cutoff times.

It does not allow you to set data limits. Instead it keeps looping you in and out of current info and resetting your password.
